Welcome

We met at work at Diablo Canyon where we were both new to nuclear power and were hired on to support the Steam Generator Replacement Project. Rory was the electrician working on a new, temporary building that was being built for my department. I went in to check on progress and ensure that there was seating for all the engineers. I had seen him a few times before but really noticed how adorable he was this particular day. He was sitting at a desk and I said, "I am here to see where all the cute engineers sit. I like to know where the cute guys sit. So, where do you sit?" His answer, "I don't have a desk". But I was not deterred! I walked around a bit and came back to ask him his name...he showed me his badge. At this point I really didn't think he was interested. Well, later that day we happened to be in an interactive training class together so I couldn't resist flirting with him at the class. I asked him to be my partner on one of the activities. I still did not think he was interested until after the class he wanted to walk me back to my office! I was very excited! We talked all the way back about things we like to do (dancing, reading, karaoking, etc.), music we like, etc. Once we got to my office I thought he was just going to walk away so being the shy person I am I asked "Do you want my number or what?" He says, "yes...and I was going to ask you". I guess he found out very early I am impatient. I went back into the office with a huge grin and told the Doc Control girls about the guy I just met!

It was a cold, rainy December morning.  I was working at Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant as an electrician.  I was inside a temporary portable office.  I was all alone and working at a desk crimping data jack heads on internet and phone cables when two women walk in to check out the office.  I recognize one of them from another office and she approaches me.  I'm still wearing my rain gear, with my hood on, wet too.  " I need to know where all the cute guys sit. Where do you sit?" she asks. Obvious enough? Nope, flew straight over my hooded head. "I don't have a seat." I reply. I look on the surface of the desk I'm sitting at. There's a piece of white tape with the name "Boo" written in black. "Oh, Boo sits here." That was dumb. She looks confused. "My name is Shannon." she says. Normally, I reply with my name.  However, I must have been in a bad mood or something.  Everyone I've met there didn't pronounce my name correctly the first time, and I've had to correct them, every single time so I just grabbed my badge, with my picture and name in bold lettering and showed her.  I didnt say anything.  Smooth.  She then said she had to go check out the other new offices and left with her friend.  She was attractive but I kinda blew that one.  Maybe I'll see her around.  Later that day, we were in the same class.  That's when we got to talking.  I had to make the first move because somehow I gave her the impression I wasn't interested.  The feeling was there, and we obviously liked each other after that class.  I walked her back to her office.  On the way there, we made a date for the next weekend to have dinner and go dancing.  Right before I was going to ask for her number, she offers it to me. "Do you want my number?"  I reply "Sure!"  And that's how it all started!

If you are interested in the honeymoon registry you can also contact Stephanie (steph@ytc.com) and will avoid some of the additional fees.

I guess it would be best to offer more options than just the honeymoon registry so here are a couple more.
